Camping & Glamping

A farm within 10 minutes drive offers camping and glamping in a yurt with toilet and shower facilities on site. They are a working farm and have beautiful views of the sea and mountains.

If you really want to experience the smallholding life on a day to day basis you can book direct with us to stay in The Caravan. Positioned on the neighbouring smallholding where we share grazing land it is a 3 minute walk down the footpath. With views gazing back towards our house and the mountains it offers a unique setting. You can separate yourself from day to day life and immerse yourself in livestock management, the gardens and the growing of vegetables in the kitchen garden. Learn as you do, and do as much as you can.
You can book 7 nights for £450 and for a flat fee of £150 can spend two full days split however you prefer learning about keeping a smallholding. For instance you may prefer to join us for two mornings and then two afternoons/evenings. That way you have time to enjoy to yourselves and to experience the full list of jobs we do regular here.

In April/May we have lambing and some goats kidding, May/June we have sheep shearing. There is also fleece washing on the warmer days, crafting and working the vegetable garden to maximise food production.

The Caravan sleeps four, the twin room can be made up with two beds. We are sorry but we cannot accept pets.
Guests to the caravan will park on our driveway, all luggage will be transported over using our tractor.

The Caravan is completely self sufficient, however on your arrival there will be a gift basket of staples for you to enjoy upon your arrival.
​
You will need good footwear and all weather gear for your stay.
​
There are numerous walks and public footpaths crossing the fields and up into the mountains which can be enjoyed, as well as the local beach only a 10 minute drive away.
​
We are between Caernarfon and Porthmadog, and within minutes of the main road into the mountains.
​
Alongside the caravan is a working vegetable garden currently in its creation. I also have a fully working vegetable garden. You are welcome to swap a tray of weeds pulled for some fresh vegetables to eat during your stay.

LEARNING WITH US
​
If you read through the workshop content you'll see what we offer people on a full day basis. Joining us here staying in the caravan you'll get all that and more. We will inter-grate you into our rounds, show you how to handle livestock and show you the ropes for creating what we did here. You'll be working with me in the vegetable garden learning about self sufficiency.

You will have time to enjoy our gardens and experience the lifestyle we have here, which is after all what you are looking for when you decide about a change of life to something more rural.
PLEASE NOTE. We are two working smallholdings with all the peace and noise that brings. Between both properties we have working dogs, Donkeys and the various livestock all who at times can be noisy. There is also a working farm with cattle next door.
